It’s common knowledge that superhero movies are the in thing in today’s society. Comic publishing companies like DC and Marvel have been cranking out movie after movie, and constantly finding success after success. The Spiderman trilogy is one of the highest grossing movie series ever, and The Dark Knight even took home an Oscar or two. But when was the last time you heard about a Supervillain movie? That’s precisely what we get in Dreamworks upcoming animated comedy movie “MegaMind”. Featuring a star studded cast including Will Ferrel, Brad Pitt, Jonah Hill and Tina Fey and directed by Tom McGrath of Ren and Stimpy fame, MegaMind promises to be a laugh riot!
Will Ferrel plays MegaMind, the smartest yet least successful supervillain in the world, who’s plot to take over Metro City has been thwarted
by MetroMan (Brad Pitt) since they were infants. One day MegaMind actually succeeds but quickly realizes that he has nothing left to do with his life, so he creates a new superhero called Titan out of a former news cameraman named Hal (Hill) who has a very one sided crush on the stunning reporter he used to work with. Titan turns out to be a whole lot more trouble than MegaMind had expected when he decides that being a villain is a whole lot more fun than being a hero! The problem is, unlike MegaMind who simply wants to take over the world, Titan only wants to destroy it!
Due out in November, MegaMind is brought to you by the same people who made Shrek and Madagascar and is fully loaded with an ingenious director and hysterical cast.
